Firefighters battling an attic fire discovered the body of a man inside a one-story home in La Puente on Saturday, April 8, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 4:46 p.m. to 445 S. Waringwood Road had the blaze out at 5:13 p.m., according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.
It was not immediately known where the body was found inside the home, she said.
The man was identified as 59-year-old Lin Bai, according to the coroner’s office. An autopsy was pending to determine the cause of his death.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
