A 76-year-old woman died after a school bus hit her in La Puente on Monday, May 8.
The coroner’s office identified the pedestrian as Blanca Guerrero of La Puente.
The CHP is still investigating the 2:20 p.m. collision at Unruh and Fairgrove avenues but alcohol and drugs aren’t factors, according to Officer Adam Christopher, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol.
He didn’t know how many passengers were on the school bus.
Before the collision, he said the bus was heading west on Fairgrove Avenue while the woman was walking north on Unruh Avenue.
They collided at the crosswalk, Christopher said.
Officers didn’t arrest the 44-year-old Los Angeles woman who drove the bus, he said.
