Meet Teddie, Arctic and Amaya, this week’s Pets of the Week.

Teddie, a bundle of love

Teddie, age about 2, is aptly named. He is soft, snuggly and sweet, just like a favorite teddy bear! He loves to be petted and relax on laps. Teddie is great with humans and will greet you with licks and head butts, as if he’s known you for years. He’s fearless and loves other cats and dogs, but he gets a little overly happy to see them, which puts them off. He just needs to learn a filter. No problem with people, though.

He was abandoned early on, but luckily was rescued by his very caring foster parents. Teddie would make a wonderful companion for a stay-at-home person or for someone who works from home because he gets a little sad if he’s alone too long. See more photos of Teddie on the Young Adult page on the Lifeline for Pets website.

Arctic, No. A507512, is a people magnet

This big ball of fluff might look like a polar bear, but he has the sweet disposition of a teddy bear. Meet samoyed-husky mix Arctic, a handsome social butterfly. He adores everyone he meets and happily goes from person to person getting pets, scratches and whatever treats you happen to have ready.

Arctic has become quite a star at Pasadena Humane — he is a volunteer favorite, and the volunteers love taking him out to the play yard for games of fetch or frolicking in the kiddie pool. He also finds it hilarious to jump out of the pool and shake out his beautiful coat right next to you.

Arctic responds well to training. He knows some basic commands already and is ready to learn more. Come meet stunning Arctic today!

Amaya, No. A507616, is a charmer

Elegant and charming Amaya is ready for her close-up! Amaya is a sweet senior kitty who had some medical issues when she first arrived at Pasadena Humane. After having bladder stones removed, Amaya is feeling much better and ready for a forever home.

Eleven-year-old Amaya is as affectionate as they come. She greets everyone who comes to visit by leaping up and rubbing herself all over you. She loves human contact even more than toys, catnip or tasty treats! She would adore someone with a lap who likes to dole out the attention.

Amaya’s age qualifies her for the “Seniors for Seniors” program, so her adoption fee is waived for anyone 60 years and older.

The regular adoption fee for cats is $100. All cat adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip and age-appropriate vaccines.
